  1. Läck bobby! This looks more than delicious 👌.
I have downloaded this recipe and must try it soon.
But I have the same “problem” as mentioned by Markus. I bake our bread mostly by myself, also “Sauerteigbrot” (so lecker!!!), and never any Brösmeli left 😅.
Hugs and kisses to you all from Solothurn!

By the way: My first “idol” in home-baking bread was my uncle Walter, when we spent a wonderful time on the Schweizer Farm in 1982. I still often put a little bit of Maple Syrup in my bread dough. 😉

Big hugs around the world❤️

Thank you so much for writing on my blog! I am really enjoying, and remembering my childhood! I am going to make the bread pudding as well! Have a wonderful weekend. Love, Pauline.

And did your dads also ‘bröcklä? For those unfamiliar with the term, our dad, Walter, always broke bread into pieces and added them to hot chocolate: a habit formed during the war years, when they were given their weekly bread rations at the beginning of the week and the bread would be quite hard after a few days.
@Markus. I mostly make my own bread too, usually sourdough. Homemade sourdough pizza crust is the best!

As my dad always said; old bread isn’t hard – no bread is hard! This probably made me NOT to waste bread. I always make my own bread now a days and there is never a slice left-over. But if we have some ‘aging’ left-over bread, I’ll be happy to try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.
Your post on getting to school is most interesting too. Reminds me of walking to kindergarten in Weesen…

You are so right !!!! Bread is very precious and in my next blog bread is going to be a very big topic. Thank you so much for taking an interest in what I am doing. I really really appreciate it and it is so nice to go back to my childhood, and remember how I grew up!
